How to Get the Hat Ending in Say Cheese

Start Hat only after the crowd has gone red and the hatted shooter is on screen. That is the same doorway as the red-crowd finish, so if Hatman is missing you are not on this route yet. Once he is visible, photograph him quickly and repeatedly. Mobile Gaming Hub says those pictures change some red neighbors into white-clothed hat wearers. Switch your photos to those hat wearers until the red crowd has become hatted. Continue until the television dismisses the story. One guide prints that dismissal as "old news". The wiki still of a hat report uses the card "OOH NICE HAT", which is a different line. I show both and do not collapse them.

After the television moves on, Mobile Gaming Hub says to photograph the heart-hat couple, which gives the crowd heart hats. Then photograph Hatman before he shoots the screamer. The final subject is Hatman, rather than another picture of the couple. The window is described as short. No source gives seconds. The second written guide gives a shorter account: start photographing Hatman when he arrives, then Hatman and surrounding hat wearers. It does not document the heart-hat finale, so that finale remains a one-source detail.

Players stall by tapping once, admiring the hat, and waiting. The transformation is a burst, not a portrait. If red shirts remain, you have not finished the burst. Follow the subject change in the detailed account: Hatman first, then the converted hat wearers, then the heart-hat couple, and finally Hatman before the shot.

The money route also wants an early picture of Hatman plus any hatted person, then leaves him for a suited payer. If a suitcase appears, you may have wandered. Stay on hats until the heart-hat couple is done. Read Follow the Money only when you mean to chase the payer. The red-crowd trunk is Viral.
