How to Get the Cricket Ending in Say Cheese

Cricket has two conflicting written accounts: an intro-screen click and repeated photographs of an insect in park grass.

Loading screen

One guide says the cricket hops from the left side of the intro or loading picture to the right side. You click it while that picture is up, before the park is playable. If you blink, the hop is over. This account does not mention grass, benches, or the fountain.

Park grass

The other guide says to search the grass in the park, frame a tiny cricket, and photograph it repeatedly. It does not mention a loading picture. This account starts after entering the park and uses the camera, whereas the loading-screen account starts before the park is playable. They differ in action as well as location. The two methods are kept separate because no official guide explains the mismatch.

I will not rank them. A chapter titled Cricket exists in the endings video, which supports the name, not the coordinates. If the intro passes with no hop, look in the grass on the next run, and the reverse if the grass is empty. Clicking both in one sitting is not documented.

This is grouped with the short photo tricks because it does not need the red crowd. It also does not teach the television loop. After it pops, you still need the camera walkthrough for every other route. Empty-grass photos are a different easy name: Breaking News.
